Senior 2022

Skylar is a part of Connection and after graduating will be attending University of Dundee Scotland. She will be studying psychology in pursuit of a PhD from a university in Europe, probably Scotland, maybe not. Her plan is to stay in Europe to work there as she continues writing novels on the side for her own enjoyment. One day getting one of her works published, which is one thing on her bucket list. Another thing you may not know about Skylar is that she used to live in Seattle, South Korea, Texas, and Portland Oregon. She likes philosopher Slavoj Zizek and religiously watches Eurovision and the three cycling tours (starting with the Tour de France). Her favorite show choir memory: when she was in JIVE, she and Payton Johnson were going up for awards, but were late to accept the award. Luckily they still had the chance to accept the award and everyone was cheering and calling for them.
Skylar's advice to a future choir member: Please learn to laugh at yourself and don't take it so seriously, it's just show choir.
The song that would play upon her entering a room: Milkshake by Kelis or the French National Anthem. Speaking of songs, if Skylar oversaw planning a concert for school, you would be a ticket holder to see Nina Simone, then Cat Stevens, and open with the Canadian band, Chilliwack.
Skylar wants to thank Joey Stedman for being a red head, her family for forcing her to go to practice, and her cats for being with her in spirit (they aren't dead, they just can't come to rehearsal with her).
